I stayed here for probably the fifth or sixth time in November this year for six nights. Always a wonderful reception, a lovely room, excellent service with charming and delightful staff. Terrific location. The Amsterdam is always our first choice of any hotel when we come to Brighton from our home in Spain.

Stayed twice in recent weeks. Once for 2 nights on a quick midweek business trip to Brighton and then for 2 night weekend break with my partner. I had a seaview room both times, room was spacious & clean with a super comfy bed. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, particularly the night reception staff. Only negatives were the parking at the weekend, during the week it was easy to find a space but was harder at the weekend but Brighton is a very busy city at weekends and the guys at the hotel did all they could to help me find a space. The only other negative was some noise late at night over the weekend from the nightclub next door but this is not the hotel\'s fault and we were out ourselves till late enjoying Brighton\'s party scene! All in all, really great stays and I have already booked up to return later in the year.

Hubby and I booked for a long weekend 3 weeks ago Charles and the rest of the staff were very helpful, in fact the guy on reception was just finishing his shift as we arrived and offered us his parking space. Very useful, considering what an absolute nightmare Brighton is for parking! Breakfast was fine - continental style is all we wanted and selection was ample. Our room was on the 3rd floor with a sea view, and after reading the other reviews we were a little concerned about any late night noise. However, we weren\'t disturbed by anything (maybe because we were on 3rd floor). Room very nicely maintained with interesting and unique furniture, wet-room was good. View was perfect - one window looked directly onto the wheel. the other on to the pier Unfortunately I had a medical emergency (burst appendix) the day before we were due to leave so I spent the next 2 nights in hospital - hubby therefore had to extend our stay until I was released. Charles and rest of staff very concerned and understanding and even managed to give a little discount for the extra 2 nights enforced stay All in all, we\'d be very happy to return - location is perfect, and if you\'re lucky enough to find a parking space in the close vicinity it\'s ideal

Perfect location, perfect hotel. Buffet breakfast was good, with plenty of cereals, croissants, fruit salad, muffins, a selection of biscuits, fruit juice, some fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, organic yoghurts, and toast, tea or coffee. Definitely something to look forward to first thing in the morning. For a little extra, it is possible to upgrade to full English breakfast, which we thought unnecessary. Overall, then, a magnificent stay -- and we look forward to returning to the Amsterdam, as soon as we recover from this holiday!

“What a Wonderful View!” Charles the Manager and his team are really friendly and super accommodating. We were welcomed warmly and nothing was too much trouble. Charles was wonderful, super-efficient and very helpful. The room was a little small, but perfect for our needs. Wonderful comfy bed, great walk-in shower and the usual tea/coffee etc in the room. It was clean, well looked-after and well-presented. We arrived late in the evening (around 9pm) after walking from the Russell Road NCP car park (about a 10 minute walk) in pitch black with the wind howling and rain going sideways (such a relief to find the heating in the room worked well! We were so surprised the next morning when we opened the curtains to find ourselves staring at the most amazing sea view with both the pier and the wheel in our windows! We did a little bit of people watching as we were up early having a cup of tea - it was also great to watch the waves crashing in. Location wise it was fantastic for the price - close enough to the clubs and the Lanes for shopping, yet quiet enough in our room (apart from the wind - see below) We did have a problem with the wind whistling through the secondary glazing - which Charles sorted for us - but due to the age of the building (period windows) which are not allowed to be replaced this was made acceptable by the customer service we received from the Manager. He is a credit to the hotel and has left us with a very positive experience (so much so that we are staying again in another few weeks!) We look forward to visiting again! Well done Charles! keep up the good work.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Amsterdam. The room was very clean and beds where so comfortable. Did not have breakfast, but other guests did and it all looked lovely. The Hotel is well situated and very convenient for pubs, restaurants and shopping. Right on the front opposite the the big wheel. Staff where really friendly and accommodating. One of our party was having a problem with walking which was causing breathing difficulties and staff assisted us with locating a local disability firm to hire a wheelchair. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering staying at Brighton. We will certainly be returning.

I took my Daughter there for her birthday. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The reception staff helped us to find a parking space and advised on local things to do and see. The staff in the bar were fantastic. The food was amazing. I have no faults with our stay, in fact we only got home on Monday and want to book again ASAP!

Just got back from Brighton for a 4 day break. Stayed at the Amsterdam for the first time. The location is perfect. The welcome was excellent. The room was spotlessly clean with an amazing view. The staff were all friendly. The lady behind the bar was so helpful and friendly. I hope she enjoys the book that I passed on to her :) See you again in a few months I hope.

Had a lovely time this weekend. Stayed in the Penthouse suite. The place was good thou would recommend the following. 1: Ditch the Heavy curtains in the main window blinds and net would be fine. The view just to good to keep it covered up. Also would recommend a box of tissue in the room. Also breakfast offer bacon or sausage rolls £2 each. I have would order one. Great bar staff . See you all soon
